Damit ich meine acht Stunden Schlaf kriege, bin ich schlussendlich um 2.00h aufgestanden. Der Mond hat durch die \u00c4ste hindurch geschienen, und ich habe gen\u00fcgend Wasser gefiltert, um bis zum n\u00e4chsten Ort zu gelangen. Alles zusammengepackt \u2014 ich hatte nur den inneren Teil des Zeltes gegen Insekten aufgestellt. Die Idee war, ohne Stirnlampe zu wandern. Das hat gut funktioniert, solange es nicht zu viele B\u00e4ume gab, die starke Schatten geworfen haben.<\/p>\n\n

Bis auf einen Ort, an dem der Weg am Hang verlaufen ist, gut ausgeschaut hat, aber abgebrochen war. Ich bin ins Leere getreten und ein St\u00fcck den Hang hinuntergepurzelt. Gl\u00fccklicherweise nur einen kleinen Kratzer am Knie, sonst nichts. Vermutlich war ich langsamer als gedacht \u2014 dunkel, und der Weg an vielen Stellen zusammengebrochen.<\/p>\n\n

Bei Sonnenaufgang bin ich am Campspot der Gruppe von gestern angekommen. Der Sonnenaufgang war wirklich sch\u00f6n, ich habe mir Zeit genommen, ihn zu beobachten. Danach war mir noch nicht danach, weiterzuwandern, also habe ich im Gras etwas Schlaf nachgeholt. Um ca. 6h war Sonnenaufgang, um etwa 9h bin ich wieder aufgewacht und weitergegangen.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wo die anderen \u00fcbernachtet hatten, habe ich meine letzte Pause gemacht \u2014 die letzte Gelegenheit, Wasser aufzuf\u00fcllen vor 16 Meilen ohne Wasserquelle. Getrunken, mit anderen gesprochen, gewartet. Ich bin mit weitaus mehr Wasser losgegangen als notwendig, weil ich Respekt davor hatte, dass es wieder so heiss w\u00fcrde wie zwei Tage zuvor. Nach der ersten der drei Steigungen war klar, dass ich nicht alles trinken w\u00fcrde. So habe ich mit einem Teil davon Mittagessen zubereitet \u2014 Fertigpasta, nicht wirklich lecker und nicht so viele Kalorien wie gedacht (die Angabe war f\u00fcr zwei Packungen). Mit drei Litern weitergegangen.<\/p>\n\n

Ein Hiker, den ich schon mehrmals gesehen habe, ist mir wieder begegnet. Ein sehr aufgestellter, der mit einem anderen unterwegs ist. Wir sind uns den Tag \u00fcber immer wieder begegnet. Ansonsten waren nicht viele auf dem Trail. Wir sind bis \u00fcber 8000 Feet hochgewandert und auch einiges runter. Recht bergig, jedoch nicht, wie ich es von der Schweiz kenne \u2014 keine felsigen Spitzen, noch immer bewaldet. Von weitem habe ich sogar etwas Schnee gesehen. Meine linke Fusssohle hat vom Vortag noch etwas geschmerzt, leicht st\u00f6rend. Ansonsten habe ich meine Snacks gegessen, um auf die t\u00e4glichen x-tausend Kalorien zu kommen, was gar nicht so einfach ist.<\/p>\n\n

Das letzte St\u00fcck bin ich mit einem Hiker zusammen gewandert. Dabei haben wir die Gruppe von Nitsy wieder gesehen. Wir sind an einen Campground gekommen, am Ende der 16 Meilen, wo wieder Wasser verf\u00fcgbar ist. Ein Hiker hat ein Feuer gemacht, da bin ich dann auch geblieben. Etwa neun Hiker waren an diesem Spot, weniger als erwartet \u2014 einige sind wohl noch ein paar Meilen weitergegangen. Ein angenehmer Abend. Wir sassen am Feuer, haben geredet, und irgendwann habe ich mein Abendessen zubereitet \u2014 nicht auf dem Feuer. Sehr angenehme, lustige Leute. Ich habe wieder den inneren Layer meines Zelts aufgestellt, da Wasser in der N\u00e4he und die M\u00fccken nervig waren.
