April 27 — Hot Dogs, a Cliff, and Not Much Else

Left Little Bear in the morning. Had a few hot dogs for breakfast first.

No dogs on the trail. Some hikers had been worried they’d be back. For me at least, nothing.

Walked — not sure how far, not very. At some point I ran into two hikers I already knew and talked with them for quite a while. Long enough that I eventually realised I needed to start thinking about where to camp. There were only two suitable spots nearby. I got lucky — overtook another hiker on the way there and arrived to find just one place left. The hiker behind me had to turn around and find somewhere else. He wasn’t thrilled about it.

The spot was genuinely good. Near a kind of cliff. The view was excellent — I filmed it. Cooked dinner, got into the sleeping bag.

A short day, and not a lot happened. A lot of talking though.
